Description
Responsible leadership is one of the most considered topics in the leadership discourse, as well as in the discourse on the Sustainable Development Goals. Although there is ample literature on what responsible leadership entails and the characteristics of responsible leaders, there is a scarcity in literature on how to develop and become a more responsible person and leader. Becoming a responsible leader does not happen simply by having good intentions, following a recipe with a few simplistic steps, or by attending a development programme. The world of work and its associated challenges are far too fierce and complex for this to happen. Instead, developing into a responsible leader requires intensive and transformative development work on ourselves, at the core of our being and as a holistic person. As a practical yet science-based manuscript, the book presents a systemic pathway that could enable individuals to develop into responsible leaders.
